Description
This company is located in a very panoramic spot on the Monti Prenestini, between two hills: Colli Cascina and Santa Apollaria. This is a company managed by a family producing Zagarolo doc. Vineyards extend on 8-hectare-surface and for their characteristics and location they are particularly adapt to cultivate vines at the base of the white wines production in the laziale area: Malvasia Bianca di Candia and puntinata up to 70%, Trebbiano toscano, green and white up to 30% and Bellone and Bonvino up to 10%. In 1968 this company was radically renewed through the introduction of modern technologies responding to the needs dictated by the “disciplinare”. Particular attention is given to the different stages of production: the vintage is the result of a careful selection, the vinification uses most modern technologies adding value to the best part of the grapes. The grapes are pressed softly and the must fermented with the clean procedure and they contribute to produce wines that after their maturation in oak barrels reach a top quality. The bottling procedure takes place directly in the wine-cellars of this company.
This company has among its properties 5 caves to preserve wine, one of which is large and easy to access. There is a parking area and a free tasting room in the sale point in Zagarolo’s downtown. It is possible to buy packages with 2, 3, 6 and 12 lithographed bottles to be sent anywhere in Italy.
Personnel speaks English and Frenchě.
